Dirty_nose2On a beautiful sunny Saturday Holly and I visited Blaze…what an astounding recovery she is making! Holly was walking her around the big green side yard of the clinic when I arrived and she was intent on those treats as usual. In the videos you can see how well she is walking, and her ribs are not showing anymore.

OUR PRAYERS FOR BLAZIE – AND MY DARLING NANCY -- ARE ANSWERED: THE MIRACLE GIRLS BOTH BEAT THE ODDS TODAY!Baby_Blaze 

First, Blaze’s tumor was NOT cancer, just a huge, long neglected lipoma (fatty tumor). It was horrible and heavy and probably painful to her, but really never life threatening until recent months when she was so sick she could barely drag it around.

Baby_BlazeAnother amazing Blazie day... Here she is out in the sun, lying in Jenn's arms like a baby, all relaxed. Jenn was holding her to show me her wound which still looks pretty scary, though it is healing fine.

UPDATE OCTOBER 3, 2011: (as always, click on any image for a larger view)

Dirty_nose1Terry and I saw Blaze on Saturday and she was moving around fine, as you could see in the videos.Happy to gobble all the treats we gave her, wanting to go out. Pretty amazing.

Today, she has made such astounding progress that she is, once again, like a different dog.

 SideHolly and I arrived and we were able to have a nice visit with Blaze in an examination room since she is not allowed outside because of the drain and the risk of infection.
